Saturday, July 14, is the date for this year’s annual Black Swamp Division field trip. We’ve got an action-packed day set up that includes modelling, prototypes, museums, history, and fellowship. We will be visiting a number of sites in the Elkhart, Indiana area.
Admission for the museum is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $5 for kids 4-12
To wet your appetite, here are some pictures from the museum
For more information about the museum, you can follow these links:

and for more details click here which includes a detailed list of rolling stock in the yard.
Here is an article about Jerry's restaurant and hobby shop.
Check out the Villa Macri website, and know what you are going to pick for lunch before you even get there
Next door to the restaurant is Jerry's Trains hobby shop, Click here to go to the stores web site.
In the afternoon we’ll head to Jerry’s house to visit his enormous HO scale Pennsy layout, which has been featured in Model Railroader and Allen Keller’s video series.
Click here is a description of his layout,
and click here to watch a 4-5 minute youtube video of his layout
When you leave Jerry's house, you have a few options. There’s another hobby shop nearby that is also close to an active yard. Depending on which route you take home, two other hobby shops are in the area. Dave will have maps for everyone when we meet.
Other than the museum admittance, and lunch, there are no other costs. It is up to you if you want to spend in the hobby shops.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING GUESTS. That includes family members, friends, or whoever. No NMRA membership required. But If you do know someone who might be interested in joining, this is a good way to introduce them to our group.
If you have any questions about the trip, please contact me at 419-508-2206 or send me an email at email@example.com.
